You are right when you tell your kids breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It aids in keeping your cholesterol at a healthy level and maintaining a healthy weight. It also improves concentration and many other health benefits. And although I spent all of my childhood hearing this advice and all of my adulthood giving it, I am quite possibly the biggest hypocrite of all. Eating breakfast is by far the hardest commitment I've had to make to this better lifestyle.
When I get up first thing in the morning, pets need to be fed, child needs to be fed second or third breakfast of the morning, dog needs to go out, school day needs to be prepared, blogs need to post, photos need editing, and oh crap... it's already lunch time. This snack was a hit, Pie being it's biggest fan. While I got the recipe from The Skinny Fork, I changed things to suit our family's tastes.
