Today we're posting a Test it Out Tuesday that was meant for last week, before I got lost in a sea of toddler year memories. All year round in our house we love to paint, draw, and create. During the week we like to break out the watercolors, crayons, or finger paints, roll out some paper, and cover my walls and counters in masterpieces. You can usually find Pie taping a new drawing to the art wall or my husband drawing Pie a very special favorite-cartoon-character-of-the-week card. And some special weekend mornings Pie and her Dad to roll a big piece of paper out and draw together.
Since she loves creating art and painting so much, I thought she might like this fun and colorful treat for her last week of school. Last week we painted with M&M's and here's what we did:
We used new paint brushes for this that are now being saved for future food painting crafts. If you don't have new or non-toxic clean paint brushes available maybe have some more M&M's for eating and toss the ones you use to paint. This craft was not a hard sell, Pie loved it and gives it two thumbs up. This craft was great when she was learning color sorting, sight words, and color combinations. And even though now she's old enough to understand those things, she still loved it. If you and your little artist take on this awesome craft, send us a photo! We'd love to see them and we will share some with our friends on our Facebook page.
