A while back one of my favorite mommy bloggers, Girl's Gone Child, posted an activity she and her four little ones did for their House Anniversary. They painted their fence with all of their love. Since I thought the idea was perfect, but also not down with the permanency, I took to the Pinterest and looked for washable and homemade paint. I came across a few, most of them included cornstarch and food coloring that wash away in the rain. This recipe from Happy Hooligans is the one we decided on, here's what we did:
Needless to say Pie enjoyed this craft to it's fullest. Especially towards the end when I told her she could throw the rest of the paint at the fence. Eventually she painted her way down three sections of fence, but this section was my favorite. Such a great craft idea if you have a fence to paint, but don't take my word for it, Pie has her own thoughts to add in a video below too.
This one has made it to our Summer Bucket List coming up in a few weeks. What are some of your favorite summer activities? If you send us any ideas we haven't already put down, we'll add yours to our list giving you the credit. If your little painter has tried this one out, send us a photo! We'd love to see them and we will share some with our friends on our Facebook page.
