Though we had lots of crafts to do, places to see, and fun things planned all month, we never got around to decorating the outside, our outside lights still sitting by the door. The inside is only partially decorated, which may be fully decorated to a non-holiday monster. This year's, like all years before, was far from perfectly executed. Instead of spending that time creating the illusion of a winter wonderland, we spent it together. We spent most of our time making memories and keep up with our favorite traditions. And sometimes that meant letting go of other things that we planned for ourselves. If you ask me, it was the best holiday yet. Even if it wasn't maxed out at 100%.
We hope you all had a chance to celebrate togetherness and remembered that this time of year is not about creating the perfect holiday, but spending time together. Most importantly, enjoying this special time of year with your favorite people the best way you know how without going insane.
