We're always thinking of new ways to make your special events personalized and unique. Today we're adding a new item with a ton of options available. Create your very own table number signs for any event. They can be created to your unique style and ideas. To start, today on the blog we're sharing six of the new designs.
There are few "off-season" wedding months here in Florida. Even when us locals are shivering and complaining about the freezing 60 degree weather, there are northerners who are more than happy to brave our "cold" temperatures to exchange vows on our beautiful beaches. No matter where or when a bride is planning their big day, changes are they have some ideas of what they want well before that time comes.
Today we're sharing five new guestbook signs that can be found in the Stack Shop! These new custom signs are 8 x 11 files, come in what ever format you'd prefer, and are completely customizable. These guestbook signs are a fun and unique way for their guests to share a bit of their wisdom and words. Print your sign anywhere you'd like and add an adorable frame and fun box for the notes to make a fun and interesting guest book.
This month is jam packed with holiday events and parties. There's not a week that goes by that we aren't super busy with one thing or another. So what better way to celebrate the celebrations than adding new holiday invites to the shop!? Check out the full set in the Custom Invitations Party Invites section of the Stack Shop!
We love any reason to throw a party! We also love any reason to create a new fun party banner! Our annual Halloween party gave us a great excuse to try out a new size for our banners. Now available in the Stack Shop are 4x6 banners, for a slightly smaller, but still super awesome, banner size. We added an adorable spider ribbon to our banner and hung it above the food table at our Halloween Pot Luck party this year. While the kids were too busy eating too much sugar, running circles around the house, and destroying the freshly mopped floors... Some of the parents noticed the awesome decorations Pops McGops picked out and the new spooky banner we created just for the occasion. Some day I'll learn to mop AFTER the parties... Until then, we'll keep making new super cool banners!
When done right, Halloween lasts much longer than one evening. For us, usually it lasts all month long, like almost all major decorating holidays. Pie is always ready for the decorations to go up the moment she sees them in stores. She wants the whole house decorated from top to bottom, the outside too. And a party, we have to have a party! She is of the opinion that there should be crafts and events and some sort of count down. She's a holiday monster. I have no one to blame by myself.
However excited she gets, I have to set limits on how far we can go. We won't start celebrating Christmas in October... Or November even. When she's older, if she chooses, she can start her celebrations when ever she pleases. For now, I prefer to take these holiday months one at a time. My reasoning is simple enough, I don't want to take anything away from each special day. For Halloween, I want to celebrate just Halloween. Celebrating more than a month for any holiday or event drains the spirit right out of it. By the end of the month, the excitement is gone, it's spread too thin, and we're all drained. So we take it one at a time, much to her vocalized dismay.
This year's Halloween celebration was sort of out of sorts and cut short due to our trip. We spent the first two weeks of October out of town and missed a lot of events we had made a tradition of attending. Pie filled that void by forcing poor Gramma into dragging out all her decorations. They spent an entire evening decorating her house instead. We decided to go apple picking, taking a hayride, and enjoying a lot of the Fall activities "the north" had to offer. She didn't seem to mind missing out on the usual many bags of candy that end up tossed at the end of the season anyway. And we had a party to plan once we got back!
Some of the best craft ideas start with the dollar section of any store. It just takes some hoarding, planning, and a little storage. Each year I find spools of ribbon from each season, I save them for hair crafts, holiday crafts, and other crafty things I am always finding reasons to stock up on ribbon. Lots of great treasures pop up this time of year, and you can bet you'll find me sorting through those bins. Even if I don't have any ideas for now, they'll come in handy later for sure. Recently, I found orange tulle in the dollar bin and grabbed two spools. Remembering some awesome green mesh ribbon I found at the end of last year's winter season, I set out to make Halloween style pompoms for our annual Halloween Party. We might have to go back so I can grab some more for next year!
These pompoms have come up a few times on this blog, for Pie's Monster theme birthday party decoration and once just to test out the how-to. They're quick, easy, and pretty cheap to make. And you can use them for a wide variety of reasons. You can use lots of materials too, yarn, fabric, ribbon, or in this case, tulle. Here's what we did:
There is hardly a week that we're not enjoying a birthday party or the birth of a new friend or family member. So it's no surprise that our next new invites are for birthday parties and new babies! These custom cards are available to be customized in your own very special way. Here is a sneak peek at the new additions, check out the full sets in the Custom Invitations section of the Stack Shop!
There are so many new things available in the Stack Shop that we had to reorganize our shelves! Finding new ways to present and share new things with you is always a challenge, but one of our favorite parts of growing this business. Right now you can find blankets, capes, banners, custom artwork, invitations and cards, and so much more in our Stack Shop. Today we're adding another new item, YAY!
These new custom signs come in 8 x 11 size, for what ever format you'd prefer, and are completely customizable. First up is the Jenga Sign, which was created just for one of my best friend's couple's shower. Between me and the bridesmaids, we created a sign just for her and her soon-to-be Mr. We wanted to find a fun and unique way for their guests to share a bit of their wisdom and words. One of the other bridesmaids found an adorable frame and box for the pieces to make a fun and interesting guest book.
We're finally concluding our Monster Party posts, saving the best for last. When you have 15+ kids running around your house, you'd better have something for those crazy, sugar high kids to do. Otherwise, things get broken and walls get climbed. In the years before we owned our house, I longed to have Pie's birthdays at home. Our house was made for parties and we love entertaining.
Some things we repeated from last year, especially the punch cup. With a few extra holes we turned that five into a six! We will have to come up with a new design next year. Some of the other fun and games we repeated were the bean bag toss! Which is an awesome craft to create and a cheap game that always is a hit. For supplies, we headed to our dollar store and bought two foam poster boards, some construction paper, and glue. That's all you need! We made some bean bags with rice and spare fabric to toss. The best part, these fun games double as a photo op! To keep the poster boards from sliding, we taped some recycled toilet paper rolls to the ground.
As promised, new designs will be constantly added to the Stack Shop's Custom Invitations section! We're heading into fall with a few parties, a wedding and rehearsal dinner, maybe some new babies, and more than a few things to be thankful for this year. And what better way to celebrate all these wonderful events and people we love than creating some new invitations and cards?! Today we're adding five new designs, here is a sneak peek at the beautiful new invitations and cards!
